Week Two!

Our first normal week turned into quite a time.  We've been trying to stick with winter theme activities even though it doesn't feel like winter so we've got a sliding glass door decorated for winter!  Tuesday I tackled the DMV and got my CA license after having to pass a written exam.  I have to say I do not miss the days of having to study for a test.   As the week progressed what I thought was just a little head cold for the kiddos turned into non-stop tears, no sleep, miserable feeling little ones.  Thankfully I had already scoped out an urgent care nearby that we visited way earlier than I had planned.  Despite the fact they had both gotten their flu vaccinations my poor little sweeties had the flu.

This day was our snowman themed day!  

We had a snowman lunch, a snowman craft and a snowman math snack!  

After some very much needed rest and recovery for the kiddos we finally got out again on the weekend to check out the Zoo!

We are still trying to wrap our heads around the weather here and the fact we walk around in short sleeves shirts in January!  We love it and will not take it for granted, I don't think the kids will let us!  It is my hope for this week that we can get a healthy household back!     

We Made it!

It is crazy to think a week has gone by since we first stepped foot in our new home in California. We've had quite the experience since leaving Omaha.  Traveling with a 3 year old, 19 month old, and a nervous little dog was definitely a challenge!  I found riding the moving walkways at the airport was major entertainment for the kiddos, and a great way to wear the them down.  You would think riding the same thing back and forth would get old  but it was like a whole new path every time!  We arrived last Sunday and lived in an empty home until our stuff arrived on Wednesday.  We were so excited to see that Truck pull up!  Our movers were great and had us unpacked and organized by Thursday.  I had my first normal day with the kids on Friday and it was GREAT!

 Ellie had a ball playing in the packing paper.  She had a mountain of it she was jumping in and burying herself in while we were unpacking the kitchen.  One of those moments I wish I would have had the camera handy!

Our first weekend getaway was to Pismo Beach!  We had lunch at Dinosaur Caves Park before heading off to the beach.  The kiddos loved every minute of it! It was beautiful!

 Jayson had his work cut out for him at the beach.  I had Ralphie and Ellie so Jayson had double duty too!  The kiddos were so excited they just wanted to run free!  Jack loved chasing the sea gulls and when they would fly off he would say, "bye-bye birdies."

     The water was FREEZING so we just waded in the water and walked the shoreline.

What a fun day!  We look forward to sharing many more of our new adventures!

Ready for the New Year!

The year of 2014 brings upon new and exciting adventures for the Bisbee family. With our move to California fast approaching I've decided to start a blog to track all we do for friends and family to see. As I look outside and see the snow barreling down I can't help but do a little jump for joy we will be rid of this weather in a few short weeks!

So... until we make our way out to California here are few of my favorite photos from our photo shoot over Thanksgiving weekend!
