More Fall Fun

There is nothing better than the weather cooling down after a hot summer and just being outside again!  If you can't tell by the sudden explosion of pictures again I love this time of year.  The kids and I have been having loads of fun finding out which pumpkin patch has the most to offer here.  I'm loving the many pumpkins we have gathered here and there.  I think we'll have our fair share to pick from when we have our pumpkin carving get together.

So this week our main goal was to figure out what Jack was going to be for Halloween.  Knowing Superman would be a strong candidate I had been scoping out the super heroes in search of Superman every time we were near the Halloween costumes and couldn't find any in his size.  So I finally broke down and we went to one of those overpriced Halloween stores with a coupon, thanks to Christie, in hopes they would have one.  Nope, all sold out.  I was so bummed, and then, Jack sees it...a Jake costume, he grabs it and says, "I be Jake."  This choice was actually very fitting as Ellie will be Izzy so they will match.  I see those adorable families that have a theme and think, oh how cute!   Yay, now my kiddos have a theme!  (You will get a glimpse below!) Jack loves his costume and wants to wear it all the time.  It may be a little dingy come Friday.

Homemade Caramel Apples

And Here They Are...

Jake and Izzy in action, yo ho!

They had to play a round of Jake and the Never-land Pirates as soon as we tried the costume on.

The wig cracks me up, I love my little Jake!

Ellie was not in the mood for pictures,
either that, or she was really into their game.
We stopped at this cute little family pumpkin patch that had a bounce house and free popcorn,
these two were super excited about the "free popcorn!"

Moravia Harvest Celebartion

First stop for this little lady was to get in line for face painting.

Can't get enough of that sweet face!

We got in the wrong line, it was a long wait.

Little man was even on board this go round.

Checking out his football.

That's right, he's a happy customer.

This one reminds me of Jayson!

Off to search for a pumpkin.

Looks like we have a winner.

Ellie found hers too.

Jack skipped out on the decorating once he saw Jayson had chips.

Grape stomping!

She kept just wanting to jump.

Times up!

And she recorded her juicing results!

Time for some tractor fun.

And Jack's at the wheel.

He thought these big tires were pretty cool.

These two are thick as thieves.

Love this!

He means business.

He looks right at home behind the wheel of a tractor.

And we ended our fun with a family picture!

Fall Adventures

Our weather has finally made a slight change, so we've been excited to get back outdoors and explore.  We checked out two different Pumpkin patches, The Simonian Farms Pumpkin Patch and Pumpkin Grove.  We also enjoyed having some visitors in town. We've had some happy campers around here.  My love of pumpkin patches will take us to a few more before Halloween!

Just a few of our Pumpkin projects...

Ellie designed her own dice game!
(with a little help cutting the foam)
She made all the decisions.

Making mini pumpkins with our Pumpkin play-dough.

I helped plan the sensory activity for the Mommy and Me Jack goes to.
He was very proud of his pumpkins.

Ellie saw the pink tractor and said, "It's a pinkalicious tractor!"

The Pumpkin Grove...

Jack looked so relaxed as he was getting buried in the corn!

We had to check out the Haunted Forest and next would be the corn maze.

Jack did not like being close to that huge spider!

Jack's become so grumpy about getting his picture taken.

Hay-rack rides are always a good time.

Ellie and Jack each picked out their just right pumpkins.
