We hosted a Super bowl party with neighbors which was fun. Ellie had to get all fancy in her jewelry and brought out her favorite stuff animals to join the party. Jack on the other hand had a hard time with the fact that his buddy wasn't coming over. I had tried to prep him that it was a neighborhood kind of party and once he finally realized his friend wasn't coming he disappeared to his room for a while to accept the fate alone.
A few snip-its from our past couple of weeks...
Tea party lunches are the only way I can get healthy food in these kids.
This tea party Ellie meant business and each stuff animal had it's designated spot.
This little guy was swearing to me he wasn't tired... I put a show on and he was out, all the while smashing Ellie's baby. Typically he only sleeps with cars so he was REALLY tired!
Spider-man Jack!
Flexing his spider-man muscles.
Now for some spider-man poses.
Mom's group fun at Skywalk...
Crazy little kids were taking a rocket ship ride to outer-space.
Mastering the Scissors...
He finally really has using scissors correctly down!
I had to snap some shots as Jack was all into cutting up some of our leftover Valentine scraps just watching that mouth go!
He was so proud! He did not want my help.
Our Valentine's were complete and ready to go in the mail.
Ellie's School Valentine Party
Stacking conversation hearts!
Valentine Challenge game complete!
Jack joined the party as well and got to bring home quite the stash of Valentine's too. It was like he was just part of the gang. He thinks all the boys at Ellie's school are his friends too. Thankfully they love him and are just as excited to have him be part of the fun. One of the games we did was a "love chain" and I had a love sentence that each child would complete once they pulled the chain. So Jack got the last one and it was "I love to eat..." and he said, "Chocolate milk." Ellie got, "I love to drink..." and she said, "soda pop." She only gets pop for special occasions so it sounds like I should keep it that way!
We had a great Valentine's Day. We had a special Valentine breakfast with cinnamon roll pancakes which were delicious. The weather was gorgeous so the kids helped me plant the tulip bulbs I got for my Valentine present. We had a Valentine inspired lunch with requests of heart shaped sandwiches from the kids, and Daddy too. We headed off to the park in tank tops and flip flops, loving every minute of it! Can't beat the winter temperature here, but that poor air quality will send you to the doctor quick! Looking forward to healthy days ahead!
