Easter, Birthdays and Rodeo Fun!

It was a crazy feeling this year to say we were celebrating our third Easter in California.  Jack and Ellie finished off their soccer season with medals they treat as if they are truly gold.  Ellie's 6th Birthday was extra special with a school field trip to the farm!  She picked dinner at John's Incredible pizza and was a big jackpot winner and came home with the prize she had her eye on!  She had requested an ice cream cake this year and I rose to the challenge.   Although it was not the prettiest cake I've made, it was a big hit!  We were able to attend our first Clovis Rodeo and it did not disappoint.  The parade was a bit long for my taste but going to the actual rodeo was really neat.  Jack and Ellie's favorite part of the rodeo was the motorcycles that finished off the show.

Dyeing Easter Eggs

Patiently waiting for just the ride colors.

We tried a new technique using rubber bands.

The kids enjoyed the new play structure at Moravia.

Getting all the kiddos together to start the hunt.

Ellie was quite the searcher and she ended up sharing some of her
eggs with some of the smaller kiddos who were having trouble.

Jack was good after finding one egg since he had taken
off his shoes and wasn't interested in putting them back on.

Birthday pancakes to start the day!

Jack was very excited for Ellie to open the presents he picked out for her.

She loved them, he knows his sister well!

Rodeo Days

A little rodeo fun at school.

These little cowboy hats were adorable and tasty!
