Summer vacation #1 Florida

We kicked off our summer with a trip to Florida!  The kids did an amazing job flying and we had a great time visiting with family and exploring West Palm Beach.  We took a girls trip to Butterfly World which was pretty amazing.  Made a visit to the zoo.  Did a lot of swimming with the cousins and made a few trips to the beach.  Our kids love the ocean and the best part was the perfect temperature of the water.  We've gotten so use to the freezing cold California beaches and the kids loved being able to really splash around in the water and play in the waves.

They loved riding the tram at DFW.

Butterfly World

Their were so many interesting plants, it was beautiful.

She was really hoping a butterfly would land on her.

The big blue butterflies were her favorite.

At first Ellie had no interest in feeding the birds but then she got brave.

Once she mastered one she was ready to approach another.

She decided to try walking around with it...

and then one landed on her head, and she did not like that!

Enjoying the waves with their cousins.

Morning fun at the Beach

San Diego and more Birthday fun

We had the opportunity to head to San Diego for a week while Jayson was attending a conference.  We had a great visit.  The highlight of the trip for the kids was the ferry boat ride to Coronado.  Jack's birthday celebration was a big success!  We had lots of Birthday parties to attend and end of the year programs at school.  The school year sure flew by and now we have all sorts of fun summer adventures to look forward to!

San Diego

The kids wished the boat ride lasted longer and weren't ready to get off.

After hitting up a park and grabbing some lunch it was time for the beach.

We had visited the other side of the island the first day for the big waves.

Jack's Birthday!

All he wanted was a blue light saber, and sister delivered!

Hat of choice was Dad's doing.

Birthday pancakes!

Ice cream cake time.

I forgot to get a group picture but we had a great turn out.

He wasn't so sure about singing and dancing with Chuckie.

Ticket blaster time!

He was very excited to get the golden ticket!

We got to work on one of his adorable gifts the next day.

He had so much fun hammering.
He was singing John Henry the whole time he hammered.

He was very proud of his projects.

The kiddos were invited to a really fun
Star Wars theme birthday party.

They loved the dress up party favors!

They even went through Jedi training and fought Darth Vader.

They were ready to show off their skills for Dad after the party.

End of the year program

Ellie performed perfect at her end of the year music program.

First grade here she comes!

One year of preschool down, one more to go!

So proud of all our little buddy has learned!
