Exploring the outdoors!

Our regular week day activities have sure been keeping us on the go.  Lately we haven't been experiencing many new places so I wanted to make a point to do that this week.  So this week we went to the Discovery Center and the kids had a blast.  Over the weekend we made our way to Kings Canyon National Park.  The park is actually much closer than we expected so we plan on making frequent visits.  We weren't really sure what to expect and there was much more snow there than we had anticipated, so a lot of the roads were closed.  We look forward to heading back to explore the park more!

  ABC eggs!

Our visit to the Discovery Center...
We pretty much had the place to ourselves.

Jack was in awe at all the buttons and switches to play with.

The rocket was Jack's favorite thing, I had to drag him out kicking and screaming.

Ellie was in awe as well.

Talk of seeing a dinosaur was what helped me to get
Jack out of the space ship.

Such a little man.  Jack kept putting his hand in his pocket
as we were walking around and it was cracking me up.

Ellie asked for a picture on the bench she said
"this is a prefect size bench for me!"

Ellie was checking the time with her shadow, 11:00.

Some fun around the house...
Our dice game this week was to create a bunny!

We had a little science explosion fun.

The snow was slushy and melting so the kids
were having a blast splashing in the puddles.

Ellie was very proud of our Easter decor project.

Short week for us!

We finished off what was left of our week with dance class, swimming, some Easter egg fun and a little furniture work.  You'll see lots of smiling faces.  Ellie loved her new dance class.  She gets a little bit of everything with this class, ballet, tap and gymnastics.

Ellie picked out a new dance outfit.  When we tried it on at
the store she said, "Ooo, I look pretty!"

A little swimming fun...

To get in the Easter spirit we made a few shaky eggs.  I would have taken pictures of the process but it was quite a messy project with little helpers.  We bought some little plastic eggs and put rice in some, lentils in another and quinoa in the third set.  Ellie decided we need to make a fourth set with a little bit of all of those. These kiddos love to sing and dance.

Then Ellie came up with her very own project, she got out all the supplies and got to work.

It turned out she was making a ninja turtle, I had a definite proud
mama moment that she came up with it all on her own and it was
amazing!

Our weekend furniture project was to finally put together our hall tree.  The huge box had been sitting in our kitchen nook way too long.

All finished and getting lots of good use hiding all of the shoes
Ellie loves to scatter all over the floor.

He's becoming such a big boy, he's already
started saying, "do myself." I'm not ready for that!
