Spring/Summer is in the air!

Spring here feels more and more like summer.  We've been taking advantage of the warm weather with frequent park dates, bike rides and water play before it's too hot to enjoy being outdoors.  I have not been the best photographer this month which is the reason for the lack of posts.  With spring break officially here we'll have a slower paced week which will be nice.  All our activities keep us on the go and we sure have fun.  Our first Easter Egg hunt for Ellie's school went well.  We have a few more to look forward to, one in the vineyards, our hunt at home and my church Mom's group.

A couple of our favorite candid family photos...

Make-up Artist Ellie...

Ellie found her long lost make up from Disney which lead to this...

as you can see it was not his idea!

But, he'll do anything for his big sis!

Now for what really interests my little man...

Here's what the kiddos were up to while I was away for a girl's weekend...

Making a stop at their favorite park.

Monster Jam!!! They were counting down the days til I left because they knew it meant they would get to see the Monster trucks!  I had a friend from Ellie's preschool that lent us the goods and they loved it!  I was just bummed I had to miss it.

Lots of fun dinner stops for these two while I was away!

Ellie discovered a locust on their play set and he's been with us all this week.

Ellie's Easter Egg Hunt at School...

We made a crown of thorns with our Mom's group.
Ellie got to take out a thorn today for doing something nice for her brother.

Fun in the snow!

This week we got crafty and made some salt dough Easter shapes and painted them. We hadn't gotten the paint out in a while and what started off as a nice pleasant painting experience turned into a finger paint free for all. Our other excitement this week was getting some repairs done on the driveway which lead to a whole morning of the kids camped out in front watching the workers.  And finally after getting some rain this week we took advantage of the opportunity to visit the mountains and grant Ellie's request to build a snowman.

Crafty kids hard at work...

Jack was really more into swirling his paint around.

We did eggs and bunnies.

Ellie thought the eggs were the most fun to paint to create designs on them.

Jack was strictly a bunny guy.

Making some fruit kabobs to take for a playdate...

Our very own Elsa...

Ellie's new Elsa hat courtesy of Grandma Jeannie.

 The workers have arrived...

The chairs were set up, and snacks & drinks were provided.

The kids were completely amazed watching them work.

Bring on the Snow...

We made our way to Shaver Lake to find our own snowy patch.

We even experienced so snow flurries while we were there.

Jack was all about throwing snowballs.

I don't think Ellie was too thrilled with him for messing up her snow angel.

Ready for a sled ride.

Ellie found the nose she wanted to use.

It was perfect snow for building a snowman.

She worked so hard to make him look perfect.

She meant business when it came time to find stuff for a face.

And now for a pine-cone hat.

They were very pleased with their creation.

Ellie named him Frosty.

Frosty was all she talked about on the drive home
and kept asking when she would get to visit Frosty again.
