Spring Break

Our Spring break flew by.  We made a trip to the coast and had lots of Easter fun. This trip to the coast was to revisit Pismo Beach and check out the nearby Avila Beach.  Avila Beach had some great features that the kids were all about and it wasn't nearly as crowded as Pismo which I appreciated.  Once we got back from our little Spring break getaway our calendar was jam packed with play dates,  Ellie's first smart start baseball session, and lots of Easter activities.

Avila Beach

Jack was feeling a little cautious about getting near the water.

Ellie was ready to search for shells.

After doing a lot of digging in the sand with his diggers
paving a road he was ready to go explore.

There was a river that was a perfect swimming hole for young kids.

I always ask them what they like about each Beach we go
 to and the river was their favorite part of Avila Beach.

Day 2 a morning walk near Monarch Butterfly Grove

Jack was a little grumpy this morning and sisterly love wasn't helping.

Ellie was captivated by the dew drops she could
see on all the spiderwebs along the bridge.

Ellie elephant was joining us on our walk.

We missed the Monarchs but it was a nice way to spend a foggy morning.

Pismo Beach

I had a hard time keeping those little hands out of the dye.

It's a miracle we didn't have any spills.

She was the first to go up to bat. She got some great hits in!  We were happy to see smiles on her face day one.

Easter Day

Things were a little different this year due to some unfortunate behavior.

The kiddos had messages from the
Easter Bunny in their eggs instead of treats.

The process was still fun but just wasn't as sweet.

I don't think Jack was a fan.

They had an Easter present to open from Grandparents.

We've been having fun with their new Olaf game.

Jack was not too happy about getting dressed up.

However, a lollipop makes everything better!

They had a petting zoo and bounce house for the kids.

Ellie would like to have this pony live in our house with us.
