Showtime for Ellie

The feature of our fun this week was getting to see Ellie preform her Showtime routine for dance and gymnastic.  With Jayson out of town on work it was an interesting day juggling a feisty little dance diva, the camera and a rowdy little man who just wanted to go, go, go.  Ellie sure shined during her solo performances and provided entertainment for all during the group dances.

        Our backyard sheet tent

We made a fort out back with pillows, blankets and a few books.

Jack has finally decided he likes books.

It was a perfect day for our little outdoor reading nook.

 Showtime at The Little Gym

The girls could choose Elsa or Anna tutus.

The gym was all decorate for the Frozen theme.

Once the dances were done and we made our way into the gym. I decided I'd let Jack free and
he decided he needed to be front and center.

Once it all came to a close Jack showed off his skills.

Birthday boys!

We didn't head anywhere special this weekend as we had Birthdays to celebrate!  Jack had a digger themed birthday and per Ellie's request Jayson had a Teenage mutant ninja turtle birthday.

Time for Birthday Pancakes!

Our baby is 2!

We started our Birthday fun at the park!

Jack loves his diggers, which inspired his Birthday theme!

Next stop picking up a balloon for the Birthday boy!

He was so excited about his, "cool balloon."

He ran around with his balloon once we got home for a good hour!

Digger, doing what it does best, plowing through that cake!

And that's the way to eat cake, digger style!

Present time! Digger, diggers and more diggers!

That is one happy little birthday boy!

One Birthday down, and the fun of new toys!

 Now for our Birthday surprise!

Getting all the balloons together.

Jack is ready with his Ninja turtle mask for the surprise!

Ellie thought Daddy needed a blueberry pie for his Birthday.

Our surprise was a success!

Monterey Bay Aquarium

We were a sick household this past week.  Poor Jayson had pneumonia which put him out of commission for two weeks. Then I got a stomach bug, but thankfully the kiddos stayed healthy.  With Jack turning 2 the kiddos have been showered with packages which couldn't have come at a better time.  We finally made it out for a much needed excursion on Mother's day to Monterey Bay Aquarium. We had a great time exploring the area before hitting up the aquarium, it was a great escape!

Aunt Brandy sent some watercolor books for Jack's Birthday. He was very focused, he did a great job.

My little nature hunters collected leaves, sticks and petals at our church Mom's group and I told Ellie I had the perfect project for her treasurers once we got home.

Ellie and I each made a fairy.

Grandma Debbie sent a water table!

It is pure joy, Jack was in awe!

 Sticky Sand Dough

Our sensory activity for this month was a big hit.

Jack kept smashing Ellie's little castles before she could
which he thought was hysterical, Ellie not so much.

We made a Michael's run to restock on supplies and I came across these water gems which I thought would be a perfect addition to our water play fun.  The kids loved them.

Monterey Bay Aquarium

Jack's favorite thing was a little tunnel with toddler size aquariums,
he loved the baby clown-fish. I had to drag him out.

Our kiddos would have played in the play zone all
day if we would have let them.

The jellyfish are always soothing to look at, they are such amazing creatures.

I think it's safe to say we enjoyed our time in Monterey!
