More Birthday fun and travels!

Jack's Birthday was a success!  We celebrated superhero style as Batman was his theme choice.  He was super excited about his decorated room and picking out his birthday balloon the day of his birthday.  It was the sweetest thing to hear him say "Thank you for my Birthday Mom," once we left Party City.  It's the little things in life for this sweet little man.  We had a great turn out for his party and he was one happy birthday boy! Once we got the birthdays behind us we were ready for some visitors!  We had a lot of fun showing the Krolikowski's around... and exploring a new territory heading to San Francisco.  We did a lot of walking and also road all sorts of transportation.  The kids had a blast!

Ice cream cake for the day of.

Party day cupcakes!

Batman cookies, lolipops and masks for his friends to take home.

Free batman from the frozen dome!

Jack was really sad the next morning to find his bounce house gone.

I think they jumped more before and after the party than they did during.

All dressed up for our neighbor's wedding reception.

Project Survival Cat Haven

We took a little field trip with friends.  I thought it was really interesting to hear about all the different wild cats but the kiddos were having more fun playing in the dirt. A lot of these cats were in the entertainment industry so they were really playful with the tour guides which was cool to watch.  Then there were a few that just looked like they wanted to escape through their cage and attack the children.  So a little on the scary side too.

We got to hear all about the differences between jaguars and leopards.

Jack was pretty enthralled with the lion.

 River wading and rock throwing...

Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk...

San Francisco...

Our first stop was the Lombard crooked street.

We stopped by Pier 39 and found a boat ride to take.

Waving at the sea lions.

Ellie showing off the freighter ship.

Cold, unhappy kids on the Golden Gate bridge.

Finishing our San Francisco fun at the Golden Gate bridge.

The pictures we didn't get in were... our ride on the Streetcar which the kids were big fans of, and Fisherman's Wharf.  We covered a lot of ground in one day and were wiped out by the end of the day.  San Francisco is such a neat city, walking around and taking in all the amazing architecture was one of my favorite parts.  Ellie had her leap pad with her ready to take pictures and she was choosing to do it of doors.  However, I don't blame her, the entries to the homes we would pass were incredible.

Good bye Spring, Hello Summer!

I don't have any pictures to show for it, but I planned a Cinco De Mayo party with Ellie's preschool class and we made a pinata!  It was quite the experience, the kids loved helping with the process and the pinata turned out way better than I was expecting.

Ellie's Birthday!

Birthday morning, lots of presents to open.

We had some birthday cake pancakes.

Per the Birthday girl's request we headed to John's Incredible Pizza for lunch.

Daddy met us too, and got to be the lucky winner of a ride with Ellie!

She's getting pretty good a whack-a-mole.

The bowling alley was a definite stop.

Birthday cake time!

Time for her party with friends!

My little pony theme at skywalk!

Ellie's party was great!  All her friends were able to make it.  She was very appreciative of all the wonderful gifts she received!  Her friends know her well and she was one happy camper.

Our visit to Monterey

We had a great room and the kids thought this little vanity was the perfect set up for a fort to sleep in.

They didn't actually end up sleeping there all night of course, that would be too easy.

Dennis the Menace Park

We didn't have the best weather for our walk to the park but that didn't slow these kiddos down.

This park had all sorts of fun and unique things to offer.

Lots of tunnels to go through.

It took me going down the rolly slide with Jack to get him to try it.

Then it became their favorite thing

Picking Dennis the Menace's nose.

Monterey State Beach

We found a hermit crab!

We walked through the fisherman's wharf on the way back to the hotel.

We stopped to watch the seals hanging out on the rocks.

Day two was heading to my favorite beach in Carmel

I love that they enjoy the beach as much as I do!

Her fear of climbing is long gone!

Jack came up with a game to play with his ninjas,

Then his ninjas didn't want to leave the beach,

He thought it was fun to bury them, however the tricky part was finding them.

Our final day..we made a quick trip back to the beach as the sun finally made an appearance.

We didn't want to leave!
