Spring Break trip to Disney

We had a great trip to Disney over our spring break.  This time around now that Jack was tall enough to ride most of the rides, we did more rides and less of the character experiences.  We traumatized the kids with Space Mountain right off the bat, oops.  They were a bit terrified to ride Star Tours after Space Mountain, but we talked them into it and they loved it.  We had a full day at each park and got to experience each night show as well.

Disneyland

We had prepared for the trip by watching all the Star Wars movies.

We stopped at Tarzan's treehouse.

Caught a glimpse of Woody passing through.

We thought we were in line for Tinkerbelle.

Turns out it was Mary Poppins which was just as exciting for the kids.

We went on Alice and Wonderland along with Mad Tea Party.

I think Jack's expression sums up how I feel about spinning rides too!

Peter Pan's flight was one of the longer lines so Jack took
the opportunity to take a little snooze.

Jack was a brave boy with me and went on Big Thunder Mountain.
I referred to it as a train ride and he loved it!
Got their Mickey ears!

I think the part they were most excited about with
King Aurthur's Carousel, was getting on a ride so quickly!

Mr Toad's Wild Ride was a hit.

Pirate's of the Caribbean had mixed reviews,
Jack loved it and Ellie hated it.

Ellie was asking all day to ride the rockets!

Pixie Hollow was so cute!

Jayson and Ellie sat by Tinkerbelle's door.

Ellie was very excited for the light parade!

California Adventure

We had to make a stop in Cars Land early on!

Jack was one happy camper to see Lightening!

They rode a least 2 times on King Triton's Carousel.

They got to pick one treat each day.

Enjoying Mr. Potato heads commentary.

Toy Story Mania is a family favorite.

Both kids were excited to meet Olaf.

Mike and Sulley to the Rescue was a fun one!

Time for Radiator Springs Racers!

Jack was so excited, and Ellie not so much.

A little Daddy/daughter dance in the streets of Radiator Springs.

In line for Luigi's Rollickin' Roadsters.

Waiting for the World of Color show to start,
 it was pretty amazing!

We had a jam packed day at California Adventure, we road Soarin Over California, Arial's Undersea Adventure, and the Jumpin Jellyfish.   Jayson and I each took a turn riding California Screamin, and I took the kids on Mickey's Fun Wheel.  The kids begged to go on the swinging version and we bonded with the other mother with her two children that were across from us.  The swinging car was a bit much even for me. Or maybe it was the fact I had two children clinging to me for dear life. I know I felt queasy after that one for sure.  Ellie's favorite ride at Disneyland was Star Tours and her favorite at California Adventure was Mike and Sulley to the Rescue. Jack's favorite ride at Disneyland was also Star Tours and his favorite at California Adventure was Radiator Springs Racers.

Some CA fun with visitors

We had a fun little adventure showing around some friends that came to visit over their spring break.  We got to experience a part of Yosemite we had missed out on during all our other visits.  We were able to check out a new winery on our way back from Yosemite and headed to our favorite central coast spot. We finished off our week of school with a field trip for Jack and and Easter Egg hunt at Ellie's school.

Yosemite National Park

The whole crew together!

The kids enjoyed seeing the water actually rushing.

There was some fighting going on over who would get to stand on the log.

We were amazed by all the waterfalls this visit.
Ellie found a good walking stick

Jack was posing in front of Yosemite Falls.

Next stop Pebble Beach

The kids were so excited to head to the beach!

It wasn't quite warm enough for swim suits but they didn't care.

Making our stops along the 17 mile drive.

Excited to be out of the van to blow the whistle he had won.

Jack about got his finger bit by a little rodent he was trying
to make friends with by Seal Rock.

Organic Pastures Dairy

We got to see lots of cows!

We even saw a calf that was only 1 hour old.

Once we were done with the tour we got to sample the milk and cheese!

Ellie's hunt at school proved to be quite the challenge.

With our help she found all her numbers!
