Halloween and a little family time

Halloween was a success and we were able to squeeze in a family trip before Thanksgiving.  Girl Scouts always has something fun to keep us busy. This time it was a fall outing in a forest equipped with s'mores, games and outdoorsy fun. We had the pleasure of attending our first wedding on a cruise ship which was really neat.  The kids were pretty amazed with the ship.  We had fun touring the ship and Jayson and I quickly put together we weren't sure we had a desire to actually go on a cruise.  While we were in the area we made a trip to Universal Studios, which wasn't exactly timed right being Veteran's day and crazy busy.   But we made the most of it and the kids were troopers as we patiently waited in very long lines. Jack's favorite ride was the Fast and the Furious portion of the Studio Tours. Ellie's favorite ride after shedding tears about being dragged on it, was the Flight of the Hippogriff roller coaster.  The kiddo's charming personalities and singing talents got us on it a second time before we left for the night with a VIP pass.

Ready to board the Studio Tour.
How Jack really felt about standing in line.

It sure felt nice to sit after that long line!

Despite it being a crowded day we had a great visit to Universal Studios!

Starting at 9:00am and leaving close to 8:00pm got us through only about half the attractions.  We did Minion Mayhem, The Silly Swirly Fun Ride, Flight of the Hippogriff, Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey(enjoyed a Butterbeer), Shrek 4-D, The Studio Tour, and one more ride on the Hippogriff.  The attractions we were able to see where amazing!  Best of all we were able to check one more place off our California bucket list!
