Looking for the sun!

This won't be the longest of posts but the kiddos and I had a great week.  We celebrated Dr. Seuss's Birthday early and attended a great new Mommy and Me group.  We had our first overcast and rainy weekend which put a damper on some of our plans.  Soccer got cancelled and our plans to head to Woodward park after church on Sunday were foiled.  So the pictures this week will be of what kept me and the kiddos busy during the week.

We started the week by making some foam by mixing up dish soap, food coloring and a little of water.

We decided to celebrate Dr. Seuss's Birthday a little early.  Our play group was having Wacky Wednesday in honor of Dr. Seuss so we went with it all day! Ellie loved hearing all the classic books! The kids loved our Green Eggs and Ham.

We also whipped up some homemade puffy paint. Once they had their finished product Ellie felt Jack's had a better bumpy affect.

Our last excitement that took place was Ellie getting her first hair trim!  My stubborn little drama queen insisted I trim her hair and that she would not go to a hair salon.  I have never trimmed anyone's hair in my life so after watching some videos I gave it a go.

I would have preferred taking her to a hair salon to give her a cute new style but she told me I could only do little cuts.  So little cuts she got and it at least seems to look much healthier.  Next time I'm just going to drive to the hair salon and not tell her where we are going to get my way!

My proud Mommy moment this week was when we tried out the new Mommy and Me group. There were five stations one of them being a show a tell with the Youth minister of the church.  I was worried about Ellie being upset about not having a show and tell.  So once all the other kids in her little group had done their show and tell Ellie pops up and the teacher seemed a little surprised since she knew this was our first time.  Ellie gets up and says, "I flew on a plane to California from far away with my mom, my dad and my baby brother.  The plane went really fast and now I live in California."  It was so sweet to see her jump right in and share with all her fabulous animation of flying on a plane.  She is such a brave, funny and outgoing little girl, it makes me so proud!

  1. It looks like another fun week at Heidi's preschool. You capture the cutest expressions and Ellie and Jack's faces.
