Getting ready for St. Patrick's day brought about lots of rainbow activities and an early visit from a Leprechaun. The kiddos loved all that was in store for them this week. We made our way to Woodward Park after our mommy play group on Friday and I sure got my exercise in pulling them around the huge park in the wagon. We went up and down hills and over bridges to play at two of out of three playground units. We even caught a goose fight!
I was going to save the rainbow rice for later in the week but Ellie found it in the craft cabinet and asked if we could play. So we did some digging for gold after making our tie dye shamrocks.
Ellie was all about searching the craft cabinet this day and was finding all my activities for the week. She decided to use the tissue paper I had ready for a craft to make "rainbow snow." This one was not planned but I went with it! Making a mess is always fun, my favorite was Ellie's rainbow angel. Ellie's rainbow foam creation went well and Jack just liked playing with the wet sponge.

Rainbow pudding pop time!

| Ash Wednesday we did a black glue, stain glassed cross. |

| Ellie excited about the shamrock trail. |
Our leprechaun hid riddles upstairs for Ellie and Jack to find his treasure. Once they made it downstairs they had to follow a trail of shamrocks to the treasure. |

Ellie typically likes to make pillow hopscotches but today she decided to make a pillow mountain.
Once Jack got in on the pillow mountain fun it lost some of it's height. It became more of a fort which was just as much fun.
Our family excursion this weekend was to play in a creek in the foot hills that's not to far from us. Ellie found lots of new rocks to put in her fairy garden and they both had a little too much fun throwing rocks in the creek. We had to cut them off as we were getting some angry stares from some fishermen.
Ellie made some major progress at soccer and lasted the whole game. She almost made a goal which was really exciting. We had told her if she played the whole time with her team she would get a special ice cream treat after the game. She wasn't exactly going after the ball in the second half of the game, but if trying to catch your shadow was part of the game she was a star. We were very proud of her effort since it was a major improvement. She was actually really good at the red light green light game they played at the end. Jack on the other hand is ready for soccer, and can't wait to get on the field!
I can't wait to be having fun with the Bisbee's of CA! I thank God everyday for the goodness he has given me in the four of you. Love You!
